Chemsdine Talbi Set to Join Sunderland from Club Brugge

Sunderland are closing in on the signing of Club Brugge winger Chemsdine Talbi in a deal worth around €23m (£19.5m), including add-ons.
The 20-year-old has been left out of Brugge’s squad for their pre-season match against Rangers, with the transfer now at an advanced stage.
Talbi impressed for the Belgian side last season, making 43 appearances across all competitions and catching the eye in the Champions League. He scored six goals and is seen as one of the most promising young wingers in Belgian football.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano says the Moroccan winger is currently undergoing a medical ahead of signing a five-year contract at the Stadium of Light.
“Chemsdine Talbi to Sunderland, here we go!” Romano posted on social media on Saturday. “Medical right now for the Moroccan winger at #SAFC. Deal agreed with Club Brugge for €23m package, add-ons included. Documents being exchanged.”
This move would make Talbi one of Sunderland’s most expensive signings. He would also become their fourth arrival of the summer, following Enzo Le Fée, Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki.
Sunderland are preparing for life back in the Premier League, with head coach Régis Le Bris and sporting director Kristjaan Speakman focusing on a youthful, dynamic squad.
